Northern Virginia Project 419 N. Columbus St.
A transformation of history occurred at N. Columbus St. in Alexandria in 2009. This home in the historic district of Alexandria was built in 1878. Design Pro was one of 5 contractors that submitted a proposal to renovate this home. Design Pro was selected because our competitive pricing and product knowledge. The owner complained about the homes energy loss and water leaks. In addition, the home was experiencing major wood rot before the experts at Design Pro showed up on site.
The original wood siding was removed and hauled away. Home wrap was used to insulate the entire property before a new dutch lap siding was installed. The vibrant blue siding color contrasts beautifully with the new composite pvc wood trim - this specific product will never rot again. Custom soffits and dentil molding were installed to preserve its unique character. Lastly, new downspouts and gutters were installed, eliminating any future water leaks. The project was completed on time and on budget!
